Hunters Bar Cockermouth - Nightclub PA & Lighting Installation

November 2009 saw some of the worst floods in Cumbria since records began. In March 2010 we were called by one of the local business owners from one of the hardest hit towns Cockermouth, to discuss the installation of a new sound system for his recently refurbished bar. Hunters Bar was located on Main Street, which was the epicenter of the devastation.

The new Hunters had been totally rebuilt in a clean modern style reminiscent of a major metropolitan city bar. The owners wanted to make a statement and create a venue unlike anything the Cumbrian residents had seen before. The venue would host weekend nightclub events, live bands nights as well as having the ability to play background music throughout the venue during the day.

After consultation with the client we decided on creating three zones. For the dance floor area we installed two powerful Blacka Acoustics RF15 bass cabinets, with two TFR 1502S mid high cabinets. We also installed a professional dj solution which included a mixer from Allen and Heath and two cd mixers from Pioneer.

Zone two focused on providing background sound for the bar area and the third zone provided independent sound for a quiet area located at the rear of the venue.We also installed a series of plasma screens again zoned into the system enabling independent use in selected areas and low power usage LED lighting for the dance floor.
