For the maximum dance floor experience, club goers listing to the dance music styles of Happy House and Trance demand extreme subwoofer power and a smooth crisp high end, so when The Lick promoters from, Edinburgh contacted us they already knew exactly what they wanted. They informed us that they had heard one of our systems running at a party and wanted the exact same system. So we took to the road and set off to the city centre of Edinburgh.

The sound system we provided needed to bolster the original club system and it needed plenty of low end so we brought eight of our mighty indoor club sub bass units the Blacka SS1000’s. For the full range cabs and the crisp high end we used a further eight Blacka TFR 1502L (15” low & 2 “ compression drivers!) This added a mega 14Kw to the previously fitted system and superbly mastered the requirements we were asked to supply. To run this huge system we used four Crown VZ5002 and one PSL KA 2400, to process and control the system a DBX Driverack 480 was patched in. On top of this The Lick, Edinburgh hired our extremely popular DJ setup including; 2 Pioneer CDJ 1000 Mk2, 2 Technics SL1210’s and also an Allen and Heath Xone:62. This was in our self manufactured ‘Coffin’ flightcase, in a ‘feedback proof’ edition.

The Lick Edinburgh (Impresario Claudio) were extremely happy with the solution provided by Blacka Acoustics and we hope to do it all again next year (once we get our hearing back that is!)
