A wedding is probably the most important day of your life, you want it to be the greatest experience possible, with no hassle and complete professionalism all round. In this event Blacka Acoustics did just that, providing a complete package, from DJ to live, we did it all in the only way we know how. Excellence is our trademark and quality is our ambition, these are goals we set ourselves every day to ensure people get the best out of their products/installations and hire’s.
We started by loading the main Marquee with four Blacka BS18 subwoofers, four Blacka TFR 1502L full range cabs. We then used six Blacka FRW 1201’s as stage and DJ monitors. The amplifiers that ran this system comprised of; 2 Crown VZ5002, 2 Crown XTi 2000. A DBX Driverack 480 was utilized as a processor. On the DJ setup we took, two Pioneer CDJ-1000 mk3, two Technics SL1210’s Mk5 and an Allen and Heath Xone:62 as the mixer, further to this all the DJ equipment was stored and used in our self manufactured ‘Coffin’ Flightcase, allowing the user to tilt individual items in the case for pure ease and advantageous results. As any DJ that uses our equipment would tell you, the coffin design is both brilliant and ingenious. If you would like to hire this item or anything else you may need, please contact our hire department on +44 (0) 161 477 9700. For the live application we used an assortment of Shure Beta and AKG microphones, ranging from the AKG D112 Kick drum microphone to the Shure Beta 58 dynamic vocal microphone. The stage was a short distance from our Sound Booth so we used a 16 channel, 4 return, 25 metre Van Damme multicore that patched into an Allen & Heath Mix Wizard 16:4. The outboard used was 2 Yamaha SPX990, 3 DBX 266XL as well as BSS Opal Graphic Equalizers inserted on the main Front of House speakers and one on each monitor mix. We also decided to use Shure Beta 58A radio microphones, as Shure are top quality and industry standard we felt they were the most appropriate and professional to use. For Direct injection for the stage we took BSS 133 d.i boxes, these convert jack inputs to XLR and also provide signal control, from a mandolin to a keyboard d.i boxes are a must have for professional stage use. The power ran off a large diesel generator and we took a feed into our distribution rack providing us with 63 amps on one phase. Tascam, the leaders in reliability and functionality are some of the only CD/MD players/recorders we use.
This wedding was yet another in a long line of success stories we have to share, our Clients were more than happy with the solution we provided and assured us to come and do other events for them in the future.
